On Monday May 2, 2022, Governor Kathy Hochul announced NYS 2023 Budget which included a $30million investment to the Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor and many of our East Side partners to help realize the projects we have all been working so hard on for years.
We want to give a BIG thank you to Gov. Hochul and NYS Legislature especially Majority Leader Crystal People Stokes and Senator Tim Kennedy for reinvesting in Buffalo's East Side with the announcement of the 2022-2023 NYS Budget. We are looking forward to working with Gov. Hochul, NYS and local and City leaders in the coming months and years to ensure their investments will provide development opportunities that will create generational wealth for a community long minimized.
